Week Four

ARABELLA


This week at Arabella I began to feel a shift in my feelings within the workplace, tasks became more swift and my relationships with the staff members grew making me feel at home within the team.

I have developed my skills this week as I became more involved in the live shows by constructing the email that is sent out corresponding to specific items seen in the show and marketing in a way to highlight certain discounts and offers taking place at this point in time. This is a highly important task as it often encourages many purchases from customers.

Again I have worked artistically, to help in the ways in which Arabella is marketed.  As the summer sales have came to a climax, this needs to be highlighted. Hence, I worked on producing both a chalk display and hanging sale sign so that these sales were at the forefront of the business and producing as much profit as possible. This also allowed the separate stores to have different aesthetics whilst being noticed as being part of the same business.

In conclusion, I would say that this week has been largely productive both from a business and personal point of view.

ARABELLA This week at Arabella, I became a fully fledged member of the team. I received a promotion to ‘Director’s assistant’ this means I will work with the senior team and contribute to decision making tasks. This ensures I am also able to work in several roles and see which suits me best as to if I want to progress further in the business and become more specialised in my role.

WEEK FOURTY TWO

This week at Arabella we have opened the new store! This has been a new experience for the whole team as we can now all work in the same building at once, this has meant that cooperating as a team is far easier. I have been largely involved in the online side of the business hence, I handle the orders, emails and phone calls downstairs whilst the customers are handled by the sales team upstairs. However, now we are all working in the same space if the sales team need help I can assist them.
